Dental patients arrive anxious, often late. A dental check-in kiosk removes the front-desk bottleneck at arrival, captures dental history and consent before the chair, and lets your reception staff focus on the patients who need them.
Dental intake is more detailed than general practice. Medical history, medication list, allergy capture, radiography consent, and procedure-specific consent forms all need to be completed at every visit type. Doing this on paper while a hygienist waits wastes chair time.
Pre-built templates for new patient dental history, medical history, allergy capture, and periodontal risk assessment. Procedure-specific forms for implants, orthodontics, and surgery configurable per dentist.
Digital consent for X-rays, scaling, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic procedures. Time-stamped e-signature. Consent attached to the specific treatment record, not just the visit.
Real-time dental benefit verification against major insurers. Annual max, used benefits, and procedure-specific coverage displayed before treatment starts.
Patients returning for a recall appointment are detected at check-in. Their recall reason, last visit notes, and outstanding treatment plan are surfaced for the hygienist before they enter the room.
New patient exam, recall, hygiene, and treatment visits route to different waiting areas and queue priorities. Hygiene and treatment queues managed independently.
Single platform across all DSO locations. Per-location queue management, per-dentist intake forms, and centralized patient records accessible at any branch.
Chair wait time reduced by 8 minutes average at dental practices
Consent compliance 99% vs ~65% on paper dental forms
Dental benefit verified for 100% of patients before treatment starts
New patient intake time cut from 15 minutes to 3 minutes
Dental check-in integrates with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental, and custom PMS via HL7 FHIR or direct database adapters. Consent forms are stored as signed FHIR Consent resources linked to the specific Procedure plan. Dental-specific intake uses a configurable form engine — the dental intake template ships out-of-the-box; practices can extend it with custom fields without engineering involvement.
Yes. The form engine supports adding, removing, and reordering fields. Orthodontic practices get orthodontic-specific intake by default; oral surgery practices get ASA classification fields.
MOVO-X integrates with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental, and others. If your PMS is not on the standard integration list, a custom adapter is built as part of the implementation.
As a signed FHIR Consent resource linked to the Imaging Study record. Includes the patient signature, date, procedure type, and the specific radiation dose protocol consented to.
Recall reminder is a separate outbound channel (WhatsApp / SMS / email). The kiosk handles arrival check-in. The two systems work together — the reminder contains a pre-check-in link so arriving recall patients are already in the queue.
Yes. Pediatric mode shows a parent/guardian consent flow. The parent completes intake and signs consent on the child's behalf. Parent identity is captured alongside the child's patient record.
