Digital patient registration means zero paper, zero re-entry, and zero transcription errors. Patient data captured at the kiosk writes directly to the EMR in structured FHIR format before the patient finishes their intake.
Paper registration forms create three compounding problems: illegible handwriting causes transcription errors, manual re-entry from paper to computer wastes 3–5 minutes per patient, and lost forms mean incomplete records. Digital registration eliminates all three at once.
NFC chip or camera-based ID scan pre-fills name, date of birth, address, and IC number. Patients confirm or correct — they do not type from scratch. First-visit completion time drops to 2 minutes.
Registration forms render in the patient's chosen language at the welcome screen. 12+ languages. Same structured data is captured regardless of language — the EMR receives English clinical codes.
The kiosk camera captures a face photo and links it to the patient record. Returning patients can be identified by face on future visits.
First-visit patients complete a full registration in 3 minutes: demographics, emergency contact, insurance, allergies, medications, and consent. All written to the EMR as a new Patient FHIR resource.
Before creating a new patient record, the system checks for existing records by IC number, passport number, date of birth, and phone number combination. Duplicate records are flagged before they pollute the EMR.
Country-specific registration forms (MOH Malaysia, JCI, NABH India, ACHS Australia) available as configurable templates. Mandatory fields enforced by form logic, not post-submission rejection.
100% of patient records created digitally — no paper backlog
Transcription error rate drops to zero at digital clinics
New patient registration completed in under 3 minutes average
Duplicate record rate below 0.1% with real-time deduplication
Digital registration creates a FHIR R4 Patient resource on submission. The resource includes identifiers for all captured ID types (IC, passport, phone) enabling multi-identifier lookup on future visits. Photo is stored in Supabase Storage with access controlled by patient-scoped RLS policies. FHIR write is idempotent — network retries cannot create duplicate records.
MOVO-X includes a batch import tool that creates patient FHIR resources from CSV, Excel, or exported EMR data. Photo and ID verification can be completed by patients on their first kiosk visit, gradually enriching historical records.
Yes. Voice guidance narrates every field. Staff-assist mode lets a staff member complete the registration verbally on the patient's behalf from the front-desk terminal.
The deduplication engine matches against existing records. A matched patient is linked rather than created anew. Old records are flagged for admin review and optional merge.
Yes. A WhatsApp or email pre-registration link lets patients complete their profile from their phone at home. On arrival, the kiosk recognises them instantly.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). The kiosk screen blanks between patients. Partially completed forms expire and are cleared after 90 seconds of inactivity.
